Luke 1:46-55
Pastor Rich Verano delivered a sermon on Luke 1:46-55 during the third Advent at Lake Trails. The message centered on God’s grace extended to those in need, including those who may not be prominently visible in society. The sermon emphasized God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises.
A note from Rich after the sermon:
“Hey there, Lake Trails Family.
I hope that you’ve had a restful and fulfilling Lord’s day. I’m just writing to inform you that I was fuzzy on the details of one of the illustrations I drew from news this morning.
I accidentally misidentified the location of the IDF assassination of two Christian women and left out a good deal of the greater atrocities detailed by the Patriarch of Jerusalem in his open letter to the church. I had a different illustration planned so I hadn’t brought a copy of his letter with me into the pulpit; as a result, I accidentally conflated his words with those of a Bethlehemite pastor I read yesterday. It’s just that after reading the Patriarch’s letter this morning, concern for our Palestinian brothers and sisters stayed at the front of my mind.”
