Exodus 11:1-10,12:29-42
Shaun continues tracking the life of Moses with as we read about the death of Egypt’s firstborn and the long-anticipated Israelite exodus from Egypt. While it’s a story of God delivering His people, it’s not the case that the Israelite faith was perfect or that the Egyptians were particularly more sinful. Instead, we can see it as a story of God redeeming imperfect people who sin and need atonement. We can find joy today, not because our sin is insignificant, but that our atonement is already made through the sacrifice of Jesus.
