2 Corinthians 11:16-12:10
Shaun continues the series in 2 Corinthians with a look at Paul’s false boasting. In contrast with the prevailing cultural style of the time, he “boasts” in the things that make him look weak or afflicted rather than strong. This is to highlight the ways that he relies on God’s strength rather than his own. We too are offered grace and strength through Christ that doesn’t rely on our own strength, so we should remember to follow Paul’s example and share our weakness to demonstrate God’s greatness instead of wrongly making the story of salvation about us.
