1 Kings 18: 1-16

Shaun continues his series on Elijah with a reflection on the first response to Elijah’s return–Obadiah encounters Elijah and fears for his life that Elijah will be gone by the time he returns with Ahab. Obadiah provides a picture of meaningful obedience in that he was steadily faithful to God in his vocation, he worked behind the scenes to keep prophets of God safe, and, when the moment of weight arrived, he obeyed the word of God when it came with great risk.
