2 Corinthians 3: 1-18

The Corinthian church gave Paul some grief for not carrying letters of commendation. Paul’s response, and the subject of Shaun’s reflections on it, focus on the authoritative commendation of the Holy Spirit, granted by His indwelling. For both the Corinthians and us, the temptation to self-justification (through whatever intermediary means) is a detraction from the reality of our standing in Christ.
