Luke 19: 1-10

Max reflects on another story of Jesus bringing restoration to an undesirable and unworthy individual, though this one was also a profiteering traitor to his people. In the story of Zacchaeus, we see both Jesus’s defiance of societal norms *and* the desperation of a powerful man who is willing to be undignified in an attempt to behold the savior.
